Perlite is a naturally occurring siliceous volcanic rock containing two to six per cent combined water. When the crude rock is crushed and heated above 1600° F ( 871° C) , the combined water vaporizes and the perlite expands four to twenty times its original volume. This expansion process creates countless cells in the glassy particles, which account for the excellent thermal conductivity of expanded perlite.
Perlite loose fill insulation provides dependable results at temperatures ranging from -452°F to + 2000 ° F (-269 °C to +1093 °C).
It is because of these unique properties that Perlite has found wide acceptance in the insulation of cryogenic and low temperature storage tanks, cold boxes, shipping containers and food processing facilities. In addition to its thermal properties, Perlite is relatively low in cost, easy to handle and non-flammable.
We have total seven (7) Portable Plants that are capable of working anywhere in the world and also an internal vibration system for big LNG tanks that is successfully developed and very efficient. We can give our clients just about any level of forced settlement they require to pre load the resilient blanket on these tanks.
All of our Portable Plants were designed specifically for site expansion work based on the experience gained through over 40 years of doing this work in the field. These Portable Plants incorporate the most reliable technology that we have been able to develop over these many years of experience.
Amol specializes in Cryogenic applications with proprietary equipment and know-how to inspect, top-up and re-fill cryogenic tanks, ASUs and equipment with premium quality expanded Cryogenic Perlite.

Cryogenic Tanks are double walled tanks with the annular space filled with expanded Cryogenic-Grade Perlite as insulation material. Over the years, some tanks experience formation of voids, as the perlite settles, which results in the appearance of cold spots on the surface of the outer tank.

We have executed many Perlite Cryogenic Insulation projects in many countries like China, Qatar, Egypt, Kuwait, USA, Canada and India. We have produced approximately 700,000M3 Expanded Perlite On-Site.
We have experienced people (‘Perliters’) who operate a fixed Perlite Plant at our factory also operate the Portable Plants since 1990 to execute cryogenic insulation jobs worldwide. The company has a large and highly trained team who can work anywhere in the world. The team is very well equipped and well trained to execute jobs in time, on schedule and within budget.
