Chemically, it is an amorphous mineral consisting of fused sodium potassium aluminium silicate. Perlite are siliceous volcanic rocks around whole world. Combined water vaporizes and creates countless tiny bubbles that create a light weight product and other exceptional physical properties of Expanded Perlite. This expansion period can be reached by the help of water in rough mineral. If perlite mineral is heated more than 850° C (16000° F), water starts to evaporate and that cause expansion of rock. Small glass pieces brings unique lightness and physical properties of perlite - its white colour irrespective of the colour of crude Perlite Ore which could be from light gray to glossy black.
